WFF Donation Press Release
The Waialua Festival Foundation is proud to announce that a donation has been made to the Waialua High and Intermediate School from funds raised during our 2016 and 2017 carnivals.
The foundation was able to supply four beautiful powder coated red steel picnic tables to be permanently mounted outdoors for all students to use.
We were also able to supply four large scale A/C units to cool classrooms that were not covered under the DOE’s recent push. These air conditioners will provide essential cooling for students and staff during the hot summer months.
The donation of these items was made possible by the community’s support of the Annual Waialua Carnival. In addition to funds raised directly by the Waialua Festival Foundation, almost a dozen school and community groups also raise money by sponsoring food booths at the carnival each year.
This event is the North Shore’s only full size carnival since the Haleiwa Sea Spree was last seen in 2001. The carnival serves as an annual fundraiser to benefit special projects at Waialua High and Intermediate School.
Thank-you for supporting the Waialua Carnival! We look forward to seeing you in 2018.
